Hello girls, sorry for this absence ,I was with a friend shopping in Algiers.

Happy that many girls joined this post I hope they will participate in developing this post and improving others' level

the word of the day is :

Agree 🙁v) ,past: agreed

- to accept or concede something (as the views or wishes of another)

- : to achieve or be in harmony (as of opinion, feeling, or purpose)
- : to get along together
- : to come to terms
- : to be similar : correspond
- : to be consistent

- to be fitting, pleasing, or healthful : suit.

- to have an inflectional form denoting identity or other regular correspondence in a grammatical category (as gender, number, case, or person)

Examples:

-We agreed about some things, but we disagreed about others.
-She says that a change is needed, and I agree completely.
-We can all agree on one thing: the current law needs to be changed.
-The house is too big for one person, don't you agree?
-She asked if she could go with him, and he agreed that she could.
-The jurors were unable to agree a verdict.
-The means of ending the dispute were finally agreed

Opposite(=/=) of to agree is to disagree .

I adore English and even if i often try to listen to english (tv, songs, radio) it seems very difficult for me to pronounce this language, so tell me sherryfa, do you have any advices for me in order to inprove my pronounciation?

Avatar utilisatrice

Sherryfa· Posté le 02 Sep 2012 à 22:44

listen as much as you can, words will be imprinted in your memory and thus your brain will quickly learn to link speaking with listening and do not hesitate to practice, the more you try the better you'll get 😉
